Oh Boy!  Oh Boy!  Oh Boy!

Today started out gloomy.  Lew was struggling to put one foot in front of the other.  If I didn’t run on batteries, I wouldn’t have moved at all.  We weren’t thrilled about another CT scan of another part of Lew’s body.  The parking lots [...]

Slow News Day

It was kinda nice to have an almost no news day.  But it was a hard day too.  The surprise/disappointment of having to have yet another CT scan weighs heavily.
But there was some good stuff too.  Lew fixed his own lunch today — stood at the stove and made a grilled swiss cheese sandwich.  I [...]

Dr. Oncology

Lew woke this morning alert and feeling rested for the first time in weeks.  He ate a big breakfast, showered and shaved, all before Joe arrived to check his wound.  Joe is impressed with how well Lew is now healing.  He says Lew makes him look good.

Walking

Lew was complaining today that he was doing better when he had just gotten home from the hospital than he is now.  I quickly pointed out that the day he got home, he didn’t take out the trash twice and didn’t walk to the mailbox seven times.  He also wasn’t just a couple of days [...]

I got an “A”!

Joe gave me a “Solid A” for packing Lew’s tunnel yesterday!  But, I wouldn’t want to be his full time apprentice.  I don’t think he’d ever give an A+.  Though it was fun watching his face as he kept pulling and pulling gauze out.
But that was the last time.  Joe packed Lew with an algae [...]
