The Silver Lining
Lew was glad he was so sick a couple of days ago. If he hadn’t, I would have brought home another dog. Well, temporarily. I heard via the grapevine of a seizure alert dog that needed re-homing immediately. If Lew hadn’t been so sick, I would have gone after her. Fortunately, the infinitesimal common sense [...]

Urgent Doctor Visit
Lew spent the holiday weekend driving the old porcelain bus. I dragged him to Dr. Chemo’s first thing this morning. He had lost seven pounds. Lew is now officially off the new meds he started last week. He had quit taking them Saturday, so Dr. Chemo is a bit puzzled why Lew was still sick [...]

Oh Sigh!
Oh dear. I’m afraid life is about to get a bit harder.
Benny has his last heartworm check up next week. Its scheduled at the same time Lew has radiation. So, I asked Lew if he wanted me to reschedule Benny’s appointment or ask someone to drive him (Lew) to radiation.

X Marks the Spots
Lew has big purple Xs from his thighs to his middle with small round band-aids over the middle of each of them. He’s been warned not to wash them off, they have to last about three weeks.
Next week, he’ll be going to be “mapped” and his treatment will be planned. Then he’ll be scheduled for [...]

Earthquake!
First thing this morning, we were off to see Dr. Kidney-Prostate for Lew’s regular girlie-man shot. It was Benny’s first time there. We were all a bit nervous — it involved a trip in a magic closet! Even though Lew got on first, Benny was hesitant. He got on and then tried to back back [...]
