Hi, we’re the Scott family — Lew, Elena and Marley (check out her web pages at http://ridemaps.com/marley). I (Elena) began writing newsletters to family and friends almost twenty-five years ago. The original purpose was to keep everyone informed about what was going on with me after I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
At that time, it was a monthly newsletter. But over time, as I became more “adjusted” to my disability, my newsletters became infrequent. And they’ve also evolved from news of my MS to stories of our family’s adventures.
But, I’ve come to realize that this latest adventure — Lew’s cancer — requires telling almost as quickly as it happens. Thus, this blog was created.
Nothing bad ever happens to a writer;
it’s all material.
